Have you ever wondered how animals are able to break down a dead animal in the wild? What happens to that gut pile you leave behind after a hunt? Well here is your answer.

Filmmakers with Lone Star News created this time lapse video of a dead deer left in a clearing in Northern Texas. Watch over the course of several days and nights as the flies take over. It’s the buzzards and the coyotes who mainly tag team the bounty, the buzzards during the day and the coyotes at night. An eagle even gets into the action one day.

This video is an eye-opening look at nature taking its course. Death for one means survival for others.
