Managing Editor, David Rosenfeld

David earned a journalism degree from Arizona State University and began his career in newspapers. Having written about many issues, his most adventurous assignments have included reporting on salmon fishing in Alaska, a silver mine in Bolivia and a community off-the-grid in the Arizona desert. When he’s not reporting on outdoor adventures, David enjoys sailing out of Redondo Beach, California and mountain biking.

Rich was born and raised in the Sierra Nevada mountains at Lake Tahoe. He is a lifelong outdoorsman who loves hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He has spent years learning primitive skills and has taught earth/survival skills to children and adults for the last five years. He also spent nine years on the Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue and is involved in several local organizations in pursuit of conservation and nature awareness.  He is also an avid photographer who enjoys landscape and wildlife photography and has an education in ecopsychology. You will almost always find him somewhere in the woods working on his skills.

Captain Brett is a licensed USCG captain who has been avidly fishing the Barnegat Bay and surrounding ocean waters for the past 17 years.  His specialty and favorite type of fishing is putting clients on trophy summer flounder/fluke and striped bass.  Capt. Brett played an integral part in the research and development of the “BigEye Series” and continues to provide ideas to S & S Bucktails.  In addition to working as a professional fishing guide, Capt. Brett has given over 16 seminars and published over 20 fishing articles for The Fisherman and On The Water magazines, which focus on specific techniques for catching a variety of species found off the coast of NJ.  Capt. Brett is ProStaff for Under Armor Sportswear, Interlux Paints, Columbia Sportswear, Simms Fishing Products, Costa Del Mar sunglasses, St. Croix Rods, S&S Bucktails, GoPro Cameras, and Pure Fishing (PENN, BERKLEY, ABU GARCIA, FENWICK RODS).  When Capt. Brett’s not fishing, he enjoys quality time with his wife Jen, and his son Luke.

Sean is a 30-year old who loves God, his wife and being outside. He has a Bachelor’s in Writing and is currently earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. He’s been an avid fisherman, hiker, kayaker and mountain biker for over a decade and loves being the bridge that connects newcomers to the outdoors, helping them to discover and experience nature for the first time. When he’s not fishing or biking, Sean can usually be found drinking coffee, watching and playing soccer, playing disc golf, or writing.

Vicki is a former television advertising executive who spent 20+ years with an ABC affiliate station. A journalism major at the University of Colorado/Boulder, she now writes for a variety of online publications and print magazines, and provides blogs, social media and advertising copy for clients including retail businesses and artists. The diversity of subject matter appeals to her, whether she’s highlighting outdoor recreation and adventures, reporting on the latest trends in baby gear, or giving care tips to pet parents. Even better, she says, is the shorter work commute…just down the hall, and a dress code change from suits and heels to jeans and a sweatshirt. At home in the foothills near Pikes Peak, she takes advantage of the many Colorado outdoor activity opportunities nearby including skiing, golf, biking and hiking.

Joshua has been writing professionally for the last seven-plus years. His work work can be found on websites like guns.com, The Truth About Guns and Home Defense Gun. He currently serves as the editor for an up and coming gun-related website called Gun Carrier. Josh first held a firearm at the young age of 10 years old, when his dad bought him a 12 gauge shotgun. He served four years in the Marine Corps where he qualified as an expert rifleman and a pistol marksman.
