Bobcat Scales Hunter’s Tree Stand

Sit in the woods long ago and you never know what’s going to come bounding up. Hunters who sit in tree stands for hours on end know this all too well as squirrels and other small critters often like to approach with a curious eye.

Hunter Dan Creswell recently had a harrowing encounter with a bobcat who scaled his tree stand. The hunter films the encounter with his cell phone camera, remaining quiet as the animal climbed the tree stand.

We’re not sure why the bobcat climbed the tree, other than they are curious animals. It’s not until the bobcat gets within about arms length, a dangerous distance if you ask most wildlife experts, that the hunter let’s the animal know he’s there and it runs off.
