Trailer Releases Film of “A Walk in the Woods”

While last year brought us the movie Wild about a woman’s journey on the Pacific Crest Trail, this year comes a story from the Appalachian Trail based on the famed book A Walk in the Woods by Billy Bryson.

If you consider yourself both an outdoorsman AND a book lover, odds are you’ve flipped through a Bryson’s beloved memoir documenting his 2,100-mile trek along the Appalachian Trail in 1996. Considered one of Bryson’s best works, the book highlights the excitement and danger he encountered along his journey, as well as the life lessons he absorbed while hiking the AT.

This Fall, Robert Redford and Nick Nolte are set to star in the film adaptation of Bryson’s book. The two legendary actors have an endearing rapport alongside Mary Steenburgen, Emma Thompson, and even Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman, who plays a sarcastic REI employee as only he can.
