Witnessing a whale breach up close and personal is a very rare event, which often happens by accident. One Alaska fisherman in Ketchikan was treated to quite a thrill when a whale searching for food breached right among the docks.
Cy Williams, the lead captain of Strike Zone Fishing in Ketchikan, Alaska was preparing his boat for a day of fishing when he noticed a whale swimming in the marina. It ducked under water when he started his video camera and captured this amazing sight.
His footage was posted to Facebook and shared with King 5 in Washington.
