U.S. Coast Guard Rescues Bear Attack Victim In Alaska

An unidentified man in Nome, Alaska was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard after reportedly surviving a bear attack. According to USCG officials, a Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak aircrew “observed an SOS sign on top of a shack and a male individual waving two hands in the air.”

The man then requested medical attention “and appeared to have bruising on his torso and a leg injury.” The man stated the bear had harassed “him every night for a week straight.”
